Memphis Initiative Announced

Ellen and I are not usually comfortable when some of the philanthropic work we do is publicized. But with our Team Focus partnership and now with the announcement of some help we can offer in the Memphis Community, we have really been encouraged by both parties to help bring light to two very special programs.

A little bit of history on the Streets Ministries commitment: That was made a few months after we took the Kentucky job. We were blessed to be in Memphis for nearly a decade and this was a way of giving back to a community that did so much for our family when we were there. The initial check was written in December of 2009. We’re really looking forward to seeing the impact that this gift has in Memphis.

In partnering with Mike Gottfried’s Team Focus, we are furthering our commitment to the children of the Commonwealth. We will have more Kentucky-based programs to announce in the coming months. In all our charitable endeavors, our focus is on the children.
